Good title

Koko’s formerly known as Camden palace is regarded as London’s finest nightclubs amech for the hardcore raver for many years, it has played host to London’s biggest events, and Saturdays event was no exception.

The Funkyhouseuplaoder team was there to review the legendary Funkinyou event held at Koko’s @ Camden, which runs the first Saturday of every month, ticket prices £12 before 11pm and £15 after.
Dress code smart but casual, this Funky House event is on everyone’s lips, it is the most talked about Funky House event in London.

We got inside and down to business, to get the main arena you have to walk through an arched tunnel which looks like something from a gladiator movie featuring the coliseum.
Walking down you get to the bottom where you are met by a balcony and below are thousands of people having it, if you look up and around there’s more people looking down on you, it really is a strange & exciting vibe all at the same time.

What a great place to hold events, the crowd was already in funk mode, and had more hype than a kid in a sweet shop, and for good reason, it was like being in a mini carnival, it was contagious I just wanted to get involve, but someone had to take the photos.

There were dancers dressed up in magical coloured outfits which looked like something from the books of Narnia, these woman magically formed long legs during the event which turned into stilts.
The trapeze act was incredible doing all kinds of tricks, who knows maybe next time roaring lions might be on stage then this place really would be the Coliseum.

The nice touch of huge great coloured balloons being battered around the venue and into the crowd was cool; it’s easy to see why Funkinyou is rammed to the rafters.
There’s only one word to sum up the DJ’s on the night, Gillette, because the mixing was razor sharp. They dropped some of the deepest tech house, and some of the realist Funky Soulful House that I’ve not heard in a club for a long time, it definitely kept the crowd in Funky mode,

Don’t just take our word for it, go check it out yourself, it will be one of the best Funkyhouse nights out in a long time.
